Bookishness Enriches Fengbao, Reading Leads to Like-minded Friends — Linzhou Youth Talent Bookish Social Event Warmly Held at Fengbao Lanting

On July 11, the “Bookish Companionship, Reading Encounter” youth talent bookish social event, organized by the Linzhou Federation of Trade Unions and co-organized by the Fengbao Group Trade Union and Anlan Property Management, was held at the Fengbao Lanting · Lantingxu Community Library. Forty single young talents from municipal government agencies, enterprises, and public institutions gathered together, using books as a bridge to embark on a culturally warm encounter of youth.

The event was designed with the philosophy of “light socializing, deep connections, and textured experiences,” featuring a unique approach of “winning hearts first, breaking the ice later.” From the check-in session, where participants introduced themselves through a “book title chain” game, to group competitions like “Book Hunt,” and the “Book Crossing” activity where attendees shared their recommended reads, the program progressed through free exchanges, book excerpt matching, jigsaw puzzle book recognition, and more. These layered activities gradually encouraged the young participants to open up. The dried flower bookmark DIY session, where pairs worked together to create bookmarks and exchange them as keepsakes, brought the event to a climax. Finally, several couples successfully paired up during the “Heart-to-Heart Mutual Selection” session and received “bookish” hand-holding gifts.

This event is an innovative practice by the trade union organization to serve young talents and build networking platforms. By blending reading culture with social activities, it not only enriched the spiritual and cultural life of young employees but also broadened their social channels, receiving high praise from all attendees.
