Celebrating 24 years of Fengbao steelmaking and continuous casting

Fengbao proudly marks the 24th anniversary of its steelmaking and continuous casting operations.

Over the past 24 years, Fengbao has grown from a start-up into a stable and robust enterprise. This journey has been made possible by the chairman’s strategic vision, the hard work of every employee, and the support of partners and the broader community. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every member of the Fengbao family, as well as to the families and friends who have stood behind them.

In science and technology, Fengbao has consistently pursued innovation. We have partnered closely with universities and research institutions, established a postdoctoral research workstation, and secured over 300 patents along with provincial science and technology awards. Our three core divisions—Tube, Special Steel, and Heavy Industry—have all been recognized as National High-Tech Enterprises, and the “Fengbao” trademark is now a well-known Chinese brand. Our key equipment in steelmaking, pipe rolling, and axle manufacturing meets advanced international standards, laying a solid technological foundation for future growth.

In terms of industrial expansion, Fengbao has evolved from a single steelmaking operation into a diversified group encompassing high-end seamless steel pipes, precision bars, automotive axle components, rail-road logistics, and green power generation. We have secured a place among the Top 500 Chinese Private Manufacturing Enterprises. Our products are supplied to major national energy companies such as PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, and Yanchang Petroleum, as well as industry leaders like CIMC Vehicles, Hande Axle, and Sinotruk, and are exported to markets across Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Talent development remains a core priority. We have attracted top-tier professionals, nurtured local talent, and built a structured career development system. To support our workforce, we have constructed expert apartments, talent apartments, staff housing communities, and the Fengbao Hotel, ensuring comfortable living conditions. Clear promotion pathways and university-industry partnerships form a comprehensive framework for attracting, developing, retaining, and empowering talent.

On the environmental front, Fengbao has invested nearly RMB 2 billion in comprehensive upgrades. We have implemented intelligent monitoring platforms, activated carbon desulfurization and denitrification systems, and advanced coal-to-gas facilities. These efforts have earned us recognition as a National Green Factory, a Provincial Green Factory, and a Demonstration Enterprise for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction, with our Heavy Industry division achieving Class A environmental performance in foundry operations.

Fengbao also remains committed to social responsibility. We have consistently supported community welfare, education assistance, poverty alleviation, epidemic response, flood relief, and cultural initiatives, while continuously improving employee benefits and well-being.

Currently, key projects including the 860 initiative, the large-round billet continuous caster, and high-conductivity product upgrades are progressing steadily, further strengthening our core competitiveness. Our teams are focused on lean production, energy conservation, cost reduction, and quality improvement, building a stronger foundation for the future.

Twenty-four years have passed with resolve and determination. Looking ahead, Fengbao will stay true to its founding mission: “Develop the enterprise, enrich our employees, and give back to society.” We aim to become a green specialty steel powerhouse, a world-renowned seamless steel pipe manufacturer, and a global brand in axles.
